The third-year studio designed a mixed-use, multi-family housing project at the corner of B.B. King Boulevard and Court Avenue in downtown Memphis.

Four student projects from the spring 2024 Third-Year Housing Studio taught by Associate Professor Alexis Gregory and Studio Assistant Ryan Ashford are now on display at the American Institute of Architects' Memphis, TN, headquarters.

Students in the studio were tasked with designing a mixed-use, multi-family housing project at the corner of B.B. King Boulevard and Court Avenue in downtown Memphis. For the project, students researched housing insecurity in Memphis and visited Hospitality Hub, a location that serves the unhoused and precariously housed community in the area. The project could be up to 10 stories tall and was required to provide spaces to support both the needs of their chosen clients and the surrounding community.
