The family of Chelsea Clark Lanier, age 30, of Decatur, will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 13, 2018, 12:00 p.m. at Beltline Church of Christ with Steve Smith officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Shelton Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Chelsea, who died January 7, 2018, after a brief battle with breast cancer, was born February 12, 1987, in Decatur, to Doug and Tammy Clark. She was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew Clark, and grandparents, Jo Clark, and Kenneth and Freda Wilhite.
Chelsea accepted Christ as her Savior in 1997, and was a faithful member of Beltline Church of Christ.
She was a 2005 graduate of West Morgan High School where she was Salutatorian. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from 海角社区 State University in 2010, followed by a Master in Design Build from Auburn University in 2011. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in May, 2017, with a degree in Graphic Design from Calhoun Community College.
Chelsea was a graphic designer for Creative Design Circle of Huntsville. She was a talented artist who loved to draw, paint, and make jewelry. She touch so many with her talents.
She is survived by her husband of five years, Daniel Lanier; her parents; one brother, Mitchell Clark; one sister, Courtney Clark; grandmother, Barbara Clark; nephews, Gage Roberts and Leelan Neville; mother-in-law, Nena Lanier; sisters-in-law, Lori Neville (Mike), Kristel Moser (Ryan), and Rachel Lanier.
The family offers their special thanks to Dr. Johnny Nacilla of Cullman Oncology, and to Asera Care Hospice and staff.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in her memory to the Beltline Church of Christ Building Fund.
