Department of Art announces 2017 Art Field Study Travel Award winners

Eleven art students were recently awarded scholarships to put toward their 2017 New York Field Study course trip.

Windgate winners ($1,000 each)

Students enrolled in Art 3801-01 will travel with Assistant Professor Suzanne Powney during Fall Break (October 4-8) to New York. Students will experience New York’s vibrant art scene and will get the chance to network with alumni in the area.

Highlights from last year’s trip include visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art, touring the Guggenheim Museum, touring Manhattan via boat, visiting artist studios, and touring art galleries and design firms.
